As a business leader, it’s natural to think about innovation and growth in business to increase turnover. However, it is critical now for all industries to become familiar with the solutions available to help accelerate their contribution to Net-Zero. By exhibiting in a hybrid format and selling B2B using digital twins, you could be achieving success in a ‘greener’ manner.

From 26th-28th April the Made in Group will be hosting an immersive digital exhibition accompanied by three in-person networking events. Backing Britain 3.0 has been created to encourage more manufacturers to embrace the benefits of digital, due to the acceleration of its usage throughout the pandemic. Exhibitors and visitors can dive into a completely digital environment where they can explore all aspects of a company’s stand. To immerse yourself further, you will also be able to view a digital twin of a product or facility. As an exhibitor, the digital twin footage could put companies ahead of the competition with off-site viewings of products or places.

In a recent Backing Britain Breakfast Morning hosted by the Made in Group David Wigglesworth, Managing Director of SFS Group, highlighted the unprecedented acceleration of using digital capabilities because of the pandemic. As a result, whilst many people are still holding hope things will go back to normal, David urges manufacturers to embrace the change as digital isn’t going anywhere. He said:

“Throughout the pandemic, we have discovered new ways of working. Whether it be remotely or in a semi-virtual world, we adapted to the times and the challenges we faced. However, embracing this isn’t for that period in time only. The market is still changing and the emergence of traditional and digital will strengthen the way businesses operate.”

A recent report revealed that in as little as three years, 85% of companies will be selling in a hybrid format. And ⅔ of a customer’s journey is already digital, from order process and research to reorder process. With digital revealing itself to be deeper and more embedded than ever before, the employment of digital twins to sell to the B2B market will put companies ahead of those not embracing the new ‘normal’.

That being said, the major hurdle the world needs to overcome is achieving net-zero by 2050. Whilst 300 guests are expected at the three in-person events at the Backing Britain 3.0 exhibition in Wolverhampton, Derby, and Leeds. With the exhibition being hosted in a virtual environment, 2,700 cars worth of air pollution won’t be on the road on their way to attend the event. No major transport for goods and stands will be used and there will be no need to light up an enormous exhibition hall, instead, exhibitors will be accelerating their contribution to Net-Zero.
