This year, Made in Group have relaunched our landmark Breakfast Mornings as virtual events, allowing members to network and build lasting relationships in the name of challenging the erosion of British Industry.

Today at 9 am on Wednesday 30th September, Made in Yorkshire members ROCOL hosted our Virtual Breakfast Morning, with over 20 members in attendance.

This event was special as it marked the first Made in Yorkshire Virtual Breakfast event which all attendees were sent their free Goodie Box - bringing a tactile element to the virtual networking session. Including in this box were the likes of a cappuccino sachet, tea bag, granola bar and more!

The event began with all attendees giving a short introduction of themselves and their company, before ROCOL's Sales Director for UK & Ireland - Alan Rankin - gave a presentation.

This presentation began with a brief overview and history of the Leeds-based company; who have been in the Yorkshire area since they were established in 1878.

ROCOL are proud to manufacturing and own all of their technology, with all operations orientating around the mantra of delivering "performance you can trust".

It was inspiring to hear of some positive success stories coming from the company in the midst of this current climate, for example ROCOL have still managed to launch 5 new products in 2020 (some of which can be seen below). Alongside this, the Swillington-based company have recently taken on new apprentices within their lab department.

The most successful of these new products has got to be their brand new metal working fluid (seen below), which was launched at the midpoint of the year. As well as boasting to be "Possibly the highest diluting metal working fluid in the world", 5% of 2020 revenues coming from this product will also be donated to an NHS Charity.

After ROCOL's presentation, the attendees were sent off into smaller "Breakout Rooms" to network, socialise and discuss common challenges and solutions regarding current UK industry trends. Attendees were sent into two of these 15-minute breakout groups, consisting of 4-5 members each.

You can discover our up and coming Virtual Breakfast Mornings here. And make sure to receive your FREE breakfast goodie box by signing up to our VBMs 1 week before the event!
