Following on from a Best Practice round table held in January 2020, the Made in Group has made a significant investment in the purchase of 80 noise-cancelling headphones, and five transmitter sets.

The event in January 2020 featured six members, Martin Walder, from Schneider Electric, Phil Stanley from TWP Manufacturing, Simon Orpe from Wrekin Sheet Metal, Chris Barlow from Macintyre & Hudson, John D’Angelillo from Bauromat UK Limited, and Edward James from Citizen Machinery.

During the day-long event, the six members discussed new additions that could be made to the Best Practice networking mornings that take place across the Yorkshire and Midlands region. One such point that was that when the factory tours take place, it can sometimes be challenging to hear your tour guide, primarily when it’s occurring on a manufacturing site where loud machines, like CNC machines, are working.

To solve this issue, that very same day, the Made in Group purchased 80 AXIWI 31dB Noise Reduction headphones that provide the user with 31dB of protection from loud and noisy environments. In addition, the company has also purchased five transmitters, and 5 TT-NM Directional neckband microphones that will work in conjunction with the headphones.

Together, these systems will work in tandem to allow the tour guide to use the microphone system while up to 10 members of Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire, listen on a paired headset. As of February 28th, 2020 the system has launched and is now ready to be used by members up and down the country.

As of February 28th, the Made in Group is also proud to announce that each headphone set is being currently custom-designed with MAde in Group graphics, so keep your eye out at a future Best Practice event to see them in use!
