Serving as the next technological advancement of Made in Group’s current directory, work has begun on a brand new virtual manufacturing directory - featuring 3D walk-arounds of machines, products and even entire factories.
Through using Matterport cameras and technology, this will allow people to visit members’ premises using 360° immersive features and (optionally) VR headsets.
As you may have seen through the likes of online walkarounds of venues and virtual house-tours, Matterport cameras allow for someone to click and walk around a venue; which makes it the perfect sales tool for our members to showcase a particular product, machine, or even a large segment of their entire factory.
These stands will provide an effective sales and business development tool for members of Made in Group, as they will be able to direct people to find out more about their business through this stand. Made in Group have launched this project as a way of supporting members in business growth, within a new era of digital work which this pandemic has accelerated.
This project will be launched to coincide with the upcoming exhibition being hosted for members of Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire, titled “Backing Britain 2020”. This “hybrid” exhibition which was announced recently by Made in Group CEO Jason Pitt, taking place in April 2022, and featuring a mixture of in-person events and virtual stands.
To set up this 3D facility tour which will be available on all expo stands, Made in Group are offering all Gold/Silver members the opportunity for a trained member of our team to visit their premises and scan part of their facility for the 3D element of the exhibition.
If you are already a Gold/Silver member, then this has been added as a complimentary service to your membership package, as part of your inclusion at the expo. Get in touch with a member of the team to confirm your place at Backing Britain 3.0 today!
