For the upcoming exhibition Backing Britain 3.0, Made in Group are targeting manufacturing and engineering companies with a turnover of £2 million for their major demographic.
Backing Britain 3.0 is the first 'hybrid' exhibition of its kind, combining an online exhibition with live, in-person fringe events.
Every exhibitor will be able to showcase a piece of their equipment, or a section of their premesis, using Matterport's 3D walkaround technology (and optionally VR headsets). More than 100 of members are participating in the project which involves having their premises scanned with matterport 3D cameras. The goal is to create the UK's most extensive collection of virtual factory tours.
Made in Group have set the target of engaging with 3,000 people through the digital aspect of Backing Britain 3.0. Taking the digital aspect to the next level from previous ventures, the exhibition will include two halls. The first of which will be called “Backing Britain” - promoting your business to thousands of manufacturing exhibitors and your fellow members. Then, continuing Made in Group’s mission to support UK careers and skills, there will also be a “Made Futures” hall.
Looking at the in-person aspect, there will be networking events at Derby, Wolverhampton and Leeds. There will be 3 celebrity speakers and 3 industry speakers in total at these events, with one of each at every one of these in-person "fringe" events. These industry thought leaders and celebrite keynote speakers have been confirmed as Jo Salter, Robert Llewellyn, Janet Mui (Brewin Dolphin) and Ian Gardner (IBM).
Backing Britain 3.0 is officially taking place from April 26th-28th 2020, however, access to members stands and their "digital twin" will be available 365 days a year following this, providing a fantastic sales and company promotion opportunity for members of Made in Group.
