April's upcoming virtual expo is also featuring 3 in-person events, which will give members of MIM and MIY the chance to promote their business, network with fellow industry leaders, hear from renowned speakers and enjoy their evening in a fantastic venue.
Precisely placed in relation to both Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire, there will be networking events for members at Derby, Wolverhampton and Leeds. There will be 3 celebrity speakers and 4 industry speakers in total at these events. Each in person event will kick off at 16.30pm, following each speech there will be a 10 minute Q&A followed by networking until 19.30pm.
As well as the opportunity to informally network and socialise with industry leaders, there will also be technology in place which allows members of Made to show others tours of their factories and equipment. This innovative feature will be brought to life through a virtual floor plan of QR codes, and virtual reality headsets scattered around the in-person venue.
The speakers for the events will be:
- Comedian and actor, Robert Llwellyn (Wolverhampton)
-
Head of R&T Programme at Airbus, Dr Mark Bentall (Wolverhampton)
-
Head of Project Manufacturing at BritishVolt, Christopher Davison (Wolverhampton)
- Renowned former Royal Air Force pilot and industry leaders, Jo Salter (Derby)
